DataFlex sFPDP Convertor

The DataFlex Serial FPDP USB Convertor is the first member of Real Time Data Company’s new family of DataFlex protocol conversion products. The DataFlex sFPDP USB 3.0 combines the advantages of the ANSI/VITA 17.1/17.2 Serial FPDP interface with the latest super speed USB 3.0 standard.

Serial sFPDP offers a lightweight protocol allowing high transfer efficiency with deterministic data rates and low latency. This coupled with the USB 3.0 standard found on the latest generation of computers allows rapid development of customer specific applications utilizing a standard PC platform to process sFPDP data. Onboard SDRAM is utilized as a bidirectional FIFO allowing optimal data traffic flow between the two interfaces.

The DataFlex Serial FPDP USB Convertor is ideal for portable applications due to its small size and connectivity using a standard laptop. The Serial FPDP USB convertor also provides a cost effective solution compared to examples requiring industrial card carriers since it utilizes the processing power of standard computer instead high cost embedded processor modules.
