Acquisition & Recording Products

Airborne PC Based Data Acquisition System
Designed for airborne use, this rugged PCI based system has a bandwidth of up to 4 hours recording at 400MB/S enabling simultaneous recording of 4 x high speed (80MB/S) radar channels plus 1553, GPS, serial, and others. External rugged fibre channel RAID units ensure reliable recording and convenient transfer to ground based replay systems. Built in display software provides an airborne "quick- look" facility.

Media transfer system
Fast and reliable data transfer from airborne RAID recording systems to various media including tape, disk, DVD etc. It can produce multiple
simultaneous copies for distribution or achiving.

PC Based Data Acquisition System
A cost effective real-time recording solution using PC architecture for radar data, plus 1553 and GPS. It uses integral recording media and features built in analysis software.

Analogue and digital Multiplexing Unit
Multiplexes up to 64 analogue channels plus 4 digital channels and records the data on a PC based data acquisition system.

AirLab - a family of acquisition systems capable of supporting trials of complex airborne systems. All family members accept aerospace standard data (1553; ARINC 429 etc.), as well as specialised data types (Fibre-optic; analogue and digital). The difference between family members is the degree of ruggedisation to support fighter aircraft, through 'transport' aircraft, to laboratory environments for test and replay. The family includes data monitoring, engineering unit conversions, time history displays as well as printing, file generation and network support for data dissemination (not available in the fully ruggedised fighter aircraft version).

Artisan - a dual 200 MBytes/Sec/channel analogue / digital capture, store, replay system that can be used with a computer and back-up store for analysis of I and Q radar signals (for example). Analogue input modules for various bandwidths and resolutions are available, Analogue or digital output signal formats are available for monitoring during recording, as well as for replaying data. It can be triggered similarly to a logic analyser for burst capture and can reconstitute these bursts during replay. It has time-stamping facilities and various replay modes associated with timing and triggering.

StoreFast - a 400 MBytes/Sec recording system family that uses disc technology as its main store with options for back-up to DATS; CD and other systems. Computer interfaced and controlled.

IDR 1000 - a disc based emulator for an Ampex DCRsi tape recorder. It offers full emulation, but has another mode to operate at greater speed, with greater storage capacity, random access for data replay and near zero access times.

SD01/2 - for connecting Ampex DCRsi tape recorders to a range of computers and storage systems via a SCSI interface. Includes options for transforming data in or out, supporting analogue or digital conversions and copying between machines
